Whether you’re a seasoned pit master or a casual barbecue enthusiast looking to up your grill game, get ready to arm yourself with the ultimate arsenal of outdoor cooking implements. You’ll be conducting a symphony with your steak using these tools, not merely chargrilling it. Rust-resistant German steel and smooth Brazilian Rosewood meet Italian craftsmanship in this complete set — tongs, a spatula, a fork and knife — that will cover all the bases for your next al fresco feast.
The oiled Brazilian Rosewood handles of each tool provides a cool grip, and combined with the generous length of each tool, it allows cooks to keep some distance from the grill, avoiding the heat. There are ice cubes in one’s pre-dinner cocktail to consider, after all.
Use & Care
Spear, flip, poke, or pinch to your heart’s content — just don’t put them in the dishwasher. Avoid cleaning them with abrasive steel wool pads, too, whenever possible. When you’re finished grilling, store these tools inside. The wood handles come already oiled, but our Beeswax Wood Care & Finish can help preserve the wood’s appearance. And no one likes a dull blade — you can whet the knife with the Diamond Knife Sharpener.
Production & Design
Maserin’s outdoor kitchen tools are made in much the same way as their folding kitchen knives. Blades are laser cut from a sheet of steel, then attached to a thick wire that forms the core of the handle, around which goes the rosewood handle. An oiled finish on the Rosewood gives the wood a rich tone, and smooth feel.
Made by Maserin in Magiano, Italy, the “city of knives,” the company started in 1960 by making sporting knives, now considered among the world’s best. Their tradition of artisanal blacksmithing continues to embrace the latest technologies in blade-making. They’ve since expanded their collection to include everything from mushroom foraging knives to corkscrews, and now, a barbecue set to end all barbecue sets.
