Sitting nicely in the hand with an octagonal shape, this Kaweco Mechanical Pencil comes from a long line of adored writing instruments. Loaded with graphite that draws out in unbroken, nearly inaudible clicks.

The aluminum barrel of this mechanical pencil has been meticulously engineered for comfort, function, and the movement of words. A comfortable weight meets the hand, polished texture resting in the crook of the thumb and between the fingertips. A few near-silent clicks brings out new graphite and what follows is a flurry of fine scratches as it’s drawn onto the page.

A well-made writing instrument can quickly become your closest ally. Use & Care

Graphite is easily loaded, just unscrew the top and gently drop it in. This pencil takes 0.7 mm lead. The pencil doesn't have a built in eraser.

A heart-curve mechanism inside makes use of a dropping ball to achieve the muted clicking.

Production & Design

Originally started as a dip pen factory in 1883 by Luce and Enßlen in Heidelberg, Germany, the company has evolved with writing technology and persevered through many decades in their attempt to contribute useful, elegant and lasting pieces to the writing world. Each pencil comes with the bronze Kaweco symbol of pride and approval in their work.
