Sea sponges are primitive animals that live on the ocean floor. Their soft, fibrous skeletons have been used by humans for thousands of years for many purposes. They hold an extraordinary amount of water or suds over a sizeable surface area. They are durable, gentle on skin, get wine glasses really clean, and won’t scratch a car’s finish. Their naturally occurring enzymes inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew.
Use in the bath with soap to create a rich lather, to exfoliate and massage. Allow to dry completely after each use.
Sea sponges are sustainably harvested. Divers leave portions of the sponge attached to the ocean floor are harvested again and again as they regrow. Their production does not involve the use of chemicals.
