Vegetable tanning is the millenia-old process that uses the tannins derived from the bark, nuts, leaves, and wood of trees such as oak or chestnut to soften and preserve animal hides. It has significantly less environmental impact than the modern, more conventional process of chromium tanning.
This strap is well proportioned for use with point-and-shoots. The generous width means it won’t dig into your wrist, even when supporting a heavier film camera. The cow’s hide leather has been hand-plaited, is bound by two brass rivets, and attaches to your camera with a waxed cord.
Available in bordeaux, cognac, classic brown, and black.

Avoid wet weather, humid or high-temperature conditions, or prolonged soaking. Clean using a little soap and water.
Because this is a natural product, color variations and “scratches” may be present.
For four years, Leather Factory Roberu has been crafting leather goods in their Yokohama factory using only naturally derived vegetable tannins. All skins are steeped in a proprietary tanning solution. They are then dried, cut to spec, and crafted into Roberu's signature goods.
