This pencil sharpener is made of solid brass, lending it a nice heft, so you know it’s built to last. Its circular shape is classic but distinctive-- a perfect fit for the Blackwing 602 Writing Pencils.

Designed by Dux, a company that opened its doors in 1908 as the first pencil sharpener manufacturer in Germany. It’s been producing quality office supplies ever since.

Use & Care

Hold over a trash can, insert a pencil into the hole, and twist – exactly the way you learned in grade school. Wipe clean if necessary. The blade should stay sharp for years, but if it starts to feel a little dull, you can order replacements.

Production & Design

The rectangular sharpener is screwed inside a solid brass ring. The design is based on a sharpener from the 1950s. Simple and efficient.
