Surprise with a gift that becomes more exciting over time, as we add more products to our store every week. Our gift cards never expire.
Printed on thick cream 100% cotton paper and delivered in rich cotton envelopes, the cards are beautiful in themselves. Letterpress imprints deep into the paper for words that you can not only see, but actually feel. After you purchase a gift card, we will contact you to get names and notes, write it all down with a fountain pen, and mail it to the intended.
We offer gift cards for $25, $50, $75, $100, $200, $500 & $1000.
If you have any questions, please contact us by email or at (347) 529 5122.

Cotton paper is known for being stronger and more durable than the regular sheets made with wood pulp. U.S. dollar bills are printed on cotton paper. The 100% cotton paper of our cards is thick enough to take the depth of the metal type of an antique letterpress.
Riitta Salmijak and Alan Nadon are the duo behind Traction Press, a discreet company with no web presence. Riitta and Alan don’t just own the press, they’re also the engineers, laborers and designers. Their machines are salvaged from all across California, among them an original 1930s proofing press from the Los Angeles Times, an 1890 Chandler Price and a 1910 Carver.
Alan describes the presses as “A whole other dimension of stability, when something was made for longevity. When I go into the nuts and bolts of the machines, it’s like talking to ghosts, the ghosts of the engineers. You really become part of something larger, this knowledge — it’s a culture of knowledge.”
