Grooming curly hair is tricky, and the sharp teeth of a plastic comb won't always stand up to the job. Not to mention how much static electricity a plastic comb can create.

The natural untreated, precision-cut fibers of wooden comb teeth gently move right through curly hair without pulling, stretching and breaking hair, or causing it to come alive with static electricity. The wood comb is great for a wet head, too. The slightly curved tips of the comb massage the scalp without pricking or poking, and move through hair easily. Hair is healthy and lustrous, since wood doesn't strip natural oils from each strand.

Use & Care

It isn't necessary to clean the comb, which is perfectly contented with the natural oils from the hair. However if you feel the need to give it a clean, you can use a little bit of soap and water. Just don't leave the comb submerged in the water for too long.

Production & Design

Four generations of comb makers cut the teeth of these combs with a 120 year old comb-maker machine from England, using only local hardwood that's been aged 8 to 10 years. After each comb is cut, the teeth are mechanically cleaned to ensure no fibers remain or stick out. There is no wax or oil applied to finish the combs so the wood is as natural and fine as possible, which is best for hair.
