Made from the oil of California's finest oranges, this extract is perfect to bring back in the wintertime, when you thought the sun was really gone. Blended with 90% alcohol and a bit of water, this powerful orange extract will add a refreshing zing to baked goods, cocktails or savory dishes. Try adding a few drops to an all-natural unscented household cleaner for a fresh scent.

The high percentage of alcohol in this extract is a testament to its flavor. Unlike imitation flavors which contain no alcohol, it's the only edible solvent that will extract and preserve the naturally occurring compounds like essential oils, resins, alkaloids and esters, which are poorly soluble in water. Alcohol is an excellent natural preservative, too, which maximizes the shelf life of the extract.

Use & Care

Derived from fresh orange rinds, the extract of oranges can be used in the home as well as the kitchen. Pour into a spray bottle and fill with water to get rid of carpet and fabric odors. Or do the opposite, and add a splash to a brownie batter for fans of orangettes.
