Summon the boys for dinner with this distinct pea whistle. Use it against the strongest wind, wear it around your neck or keep it in your pocket for emergencies and to signal others to your trouble. So small and light, you won’t notice it when it’s not in use, but you’ll be glad you have it should you end up stuck.

The uses for this whistle are endless. Carry it as a safety precaution in the woods, for pedestrian life or while on your bike. Works great for that perfect moment when you need to call the group to order. It has a loop at the end for wear around your neck or for adding to your keychain.
Way back in 1860, a Birmingham-trained toolmaker converted his humble washroom into a workshop, where he did all kinds of handy things to supplement the family income, from watch repairing to cobbling shoes. He also made whistles, which he saw as an opportunity for a flourishing business when Scottland Yard advertised a contest for replacing their police rattles, which were not loud enough. It was by accident that the toolmaker discovered the high-pitched sound for a whistle that could be heard well above the commotion of a crowd. When he carelessly put his violin away one day, it fell from its resting place, and the breaking of the strings – that jarring, discordant sound of each one popping apart – inspired him to use the pea design, which made the whistle really squeal.
