Hand-shaped hooks from sustainably foraged beech wood to hang keys, bags, coats and more. Two countersunk screw holes allow you to install onto a wall or post, indoors or outside. (Screws sold separately.) Hooks sold individually. Made in U.K. (
Mother nature’s branches double as hanging hooks. The maker finds fallen beech wood branches in the forest near his home and lightly shapes and sands them. The hooks can be used indoors as coat or pot hooks, or placed near the door to hang keys. If installed outdoors, they are sturdy storage for gardening spades or shovels.
Hang outside, in your garden shed, or use as coat hooks in your cabin. Two countersunk screw holes on both ends allow the tree branch to be affixed to the wall.
The woodworker behind these wood hooks was mourning the loss of his favorite lilac tree in his garden a few years ago, when he came up with the idea of a naturally shaped tree branch to hang tools and outdoor accessories. These beech wood hooks are adapted from that initial idea, using foraged beech wood from sustainably coppiced forests – a process in which juvenile tree stems are periodically chopped to promote the growth of new shoots – near his home in Buckinghamshire, outside London. He typically harvests wood during the winter, when sap is low and birds are not nesting. After the wood is dried out, the process of shaping and drilling the branches begins.
