Japanese Cypress Wood Soap Dish
5 x 3.5 inches hinoki cypress wood soap dish to conveniently fit near a bathroom or kitchen faucet. Holds one bar of soap. The Hinoki wood and oil have decongestive and antibacterial benefits. Made by hand in Japan. (
This hinoki wooden soap dish perfectly holds and keeps any bar of soap dry. Easier than remembering to wrap your soap up in a dry washcloth after every use, the wood slats of this dish, slightly raised, prevent water from the shower or bath from pooling and speeding up the soap bar's early dissolution.
Hinoki has a light, lemony scent, and contains a natural resin that prevents mold and other bacteria from forming on the wood surface. Hinoki’s natural resins also make it resistant to the absorption of odors. With steaming water, hinoki releases a vapor that the Japanese use to treat asthma and calm the nervous system.
The Cypress wood comes from responsibly harvested trees cut down in the process of forest thinning, which is required to maintain healthy forest growth.
Use & Care
This hinoki wooden soap dish is especially important for all those bars of soaps you received over the years, neglected and let dissolve in a small puddle in a plastic soap dish.
Place your favorite bar of soap on the slats near the bath or just outside the shower, and preserve your soap as well as your health.
