Solid zinc die-cast nutcracker. Nickel-plated satin finish. Wide, grooved slots provide an even distribution of pressure to crack open nuts easily. Made in a German foundry established in 1879. (
The only thing cracking when you use this German-made, die-cast nutcracker are the walnuts, cashews and other nuts you place within it. The nutcracker is made of zinc, which is non-toxic and has greater strength than aluminum or plastic. The wide, grooved cracking recess provides an even distribution of pressure, so the nutcracker is doing most of the work and your hands won’t cramp up or get sore. It can be used for a lifetime, but if you should one day move to a land with only shelled nuts, it is easily recyclable.
Place nut in rounded slots between the two prongs. Close handles and squeeze to crack the shell. Hand wash or wipe down to clean.
This nutcracker was produced by a steel producer that set up its first factory in Germany in 1879. All the die-casting and assembly takes place in a small foundry in Marburg, Germany. The heavy-duty zinc will allow you to pass the nutcracker down to your family for generations of snackers to come.
